This paper described how the effects of climate change on human rights has developed in practice, and how it may be applied to the work of the UN Committee no Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. I focuses on the linkage between climate change and economic, social and cultural rights within the broader human rights and environment framework. By clarifying these linkages, the paper intends to help the Committee in analysing country reports, formulating Concluding Observations, organising days of general on the human rights and climate change intrface, and eventual adjudication of related cases under the Optional Protocol.
