Most South Africa Municipalities Don’t Deliver

Most South African municipalities not delivering for citizens

If the South African public were ever in doubt at the reasons for service delivery protests in townships and municipalities, a closer look should be taken at the municipal audit report released by Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu who expressed concern at the financial mismanagement at municipal level. Just 18 out of 257 municipalities received a clean audit.
