Brief narrative |
HLRN has applied the method of calculating costs identified in the survey, B’Tselem and Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), Ghost Town: Israel’s Separation Policy and Forced Eviction of Palestinians from the Center of Hebron (May 2007). The publication is accessible at: http://www.btselem.org/Download/200705_Hebron_eng.pdf See attachment for details on ethodology used for quantification. Direct losses arising from the cost of alternative housing necessitated by eviction are conservatively calculated at $10,481,056, or €7,192,896. The 1,014 families affected are counted as an average of 5 persons per family, or 5,070 persons. | ||||||||
