Brief narrative |
AFP, 16 November 2004 Residents of an east Beijing neighborhood were forcefully removed from their homes by over 100 police officers to enable the demolition of Nanyingfang neighborhood to proceed. Residents refused to leave their homes, arguing that the Chaoyang district government was not providing fair compensation. Affected persons include those 100,000 farmers and their families, which, for China, is subject to a factor of three (3). | ||||||||
